Senior Electrical Systems Engineer ($120K-$140K)

About the Role
Phase3D is looking for a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to help architect, troubleshoot, and industrialize next-generation hardware systems for additive manufacturing and industrial automation environments.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving real-world electrical problems, owning systems from prototype through deployment, and working closely with software, operations, and manufacturing teams to build reliable industrial products.
You will play a key role in electrical system design, debugging, compliance readiness, and product integration across both existing and next-generation platforms.
What You’ll Do
· Design, review, and troubleshoot electrical systems and PCB assemblies
· Support system architecture and hardware integration across electromechanical products
· Diagnose and resolve field and production electrical issues
· Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for hardware failures
· Support CE, EMC, and general compliance activities
· Work with external vendors and manufacturing partners on electrical assemblies and components
· Develop and improve test methods, validation processes, and documentation
· Collaborate with software, operations, and commercial teams to rapidly iterate and deploy solutions
· Create and modify simple to moderate mechanical designs, enclosures, mounting solutions, and electrical packaging in SolidWorks or similar CAD software
· Own delivery schedules and technical execution for new product development projects and internal enhancement initiatives
· Support prototype builds, lab testing, and customer deployments
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
· 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, embedded hardware, or industrial product development
· Strong understanding of PCB design and schematic review
· Experience with power systems and signal integrity
· Strong electrical troubleshooting and debugging skills
· Experience with industrial sensors, IO, and communications
· Understanding of EMI/EMC fundamentals
· Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power analyzers
· Experience supporting products through prototype, validation, and production
· Minimum working experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software
· Ability to create or modify enclosures, brackets, mounting features, and general electro-mechanical packaging
· Experience managing technical tasks, priorities, and project schedules
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced engineering environment
Preferred Qualifications
· CE / EMC compliance experience
· Embedded firmware exposure
· Industrial automation or additive manufacturing experience
· Experience working with contract manufacturers and suppliers
· Python, C/C++, or scripting experience
· Familiarity with Linux-based systems and edge computing devices
